Normally, book promotion is a big part of this space, but today it’s only a brief stop on way to much bigger and much more important news in our lives.
Our home is full again.
This year has been a hard one for us as we’ve had to say farewell to not one but both our beloved fur-kids, which is not something I would wish upon even the worst people. So, it feels great to know while the year 2026 will always be burned into my memory for that reason, I’ll also remember it for a very happy one as well.
Because two days ago we brought home the newest members of family. A pair of sisters that we found through Trash Cat Rescue. So, let this be the first introduction to the world of “Brave Girl” (Left, notched ear) and “Little Lady” (Right) (We haven’t decided on their forever names yet, though we have some interesting candidates.)
The last few days has been about helping them acclimate to their new home and their new family (same for us, as we’re trying to understand their individual personalities and demeanors.) Part of me wishes we could fast forward the next couple months to when they both have full run of the house and we’re spending evenings doling out pets and treats between play sessions, but at the same time I wanna be in the present and treasure every part of this new journey with my two fuzzy daughters.
Our home is full and my heart is overflowing.
